AI also reduces the perceived judgment associated with human interactions, particularly in contexts involving personal, financial, or medical concerns. Younger users tend to be more comfortable and even prefer AI interactions for basic services, while older demographics still value human touch. As younger cohorts become dominant consumers, businesses may pivot even further toward AI-led service models—shaping future norms and expectations (PwC, 2020).

As developers increasingly incorporate natural language processing and affective computing into AI systems, the line between machine and human interaction continues to blur. AI is beginning to recognize emotional cues, respond with simulated empathy, and adjust tone based on context.
