Seven Days of Psych
Psychology produces more research each week than anyone with a functioning calendar can reasonably keep up with.
Seven Days of Psych is our weekly round-up of the studies, reports and ideas actually worth paying attention to.
We look for work that is methodologically interesting, culturally relevant, genuinely useful, or simply raises a question worth thinking about. Some weeks that means new experimental research. Other weeks it might be a major report, a provocative review, or a piece of media and culture research that deserves more than a passing headline.
The aim is not to cover everything.
It is to take a small number of worthwhile ideas and make them easier to understand, easier to question, and more useful outside the journal abstract.
Expect plain-English explanations, context, caveats, occasional scepticism, and enough detail to understand why the research matters without requiring you to spend your Friday evening deciphering a supplementary methods section.
New round-ups are published weekly.
